WHAT IS THE PFAS REBATE PROGRAM?

New Hampshire’s PFAS Removal Rebate Program helps eligible homeowners with private wells cover the cost of PFAS water treatment. The rebate offers:

  • Up to $5,000 toward the purchase and installation of a PFAS water filtration system

  • Up to $10,000 for those connecting to a public water supply

The NHDES PFAS Rebate Program is back and H2O Care is now scheduling PFAS testing and installations for homeowners with private wells to help you take full advantage of it.

Homeowners must apply for the rebate directly through NHDES, rather than going through providers. You’ll pay upfront for testing and installation, but if you qualify, you can be reimbursed through the rebate program. H2O Care will walk you through every step and provide all the documentation you’ll need for reimbursement.

Pre-filtration systems may also be eligible for rebate coverage, depending on your setup.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

To qualify, your water must test above the state’s Ambient Groundwater Quality Standards (AGQS):

  • PFOA: 4.0 ng/L

  • PFOS: 4.0 ng/L

  • PFHxS: 10 ng/L

  • PFNA: 10 ng/L

  • HFPO-DA (GenX): 10 ng/L

Additionally, applicants must:

  • Be New Hampshire homeowners using a private well

  • Not have received previous bottled water service or third-party treatment for PFAS
